Now that it is  2018, many of us probably have made the same New Year’s resolution- eat healthier. With these recipes, you won’t have to worry about sacrificing good taste to get a healthy dish. Not only are they delicious and healthy, but they are all really easy and quick to make! We hope these recipes help you have a better start to an amazing 2018!

Yogurt- Covered Strawberries


The perfect light afternoon snack when you’re craving something sweet!

  • Serves 2 people as a snack or dessert

What You’ll Need:

10 Medium- sized strawberries

2/3 cup plain greek yogurt

2 teaspoons honey

1 tablespoon water

Crushed almonds (optional)

How to Make:

  1. Combine the yogurt, honey, and water in a small bowl until evenly blended.
  2. Dip the strawberries in the yogurt mixture, making sure it is evenly distributed.
  3. Once the strawberry is all done with being dipped, transfer it to a plate or tray to let it rest.
  4. (OPTIONAL) Sprinkle on crushed almonds for a nice crunch!
  5. Once all your strawberries are on a tray, place them in the refrigerator to sit for 20 minutes.
  6. Once the yogurt is completely hardened, remove out of fridge and enjoy!


The Best Kale Salad


So good you won’t believe it’s healthy!

What You’ll Need:

3 cups finely chopped kale

1/3 cup dried cranberries

1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese

1/3 cup crushed almonds OR walnuts


1/2 cup lemon juice

1/3 cup olive oil

1 teaspoon ground pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 cup greek yogurt

How to Make:

  1. Combine kale, cranberries, feta, and almonds in a large bowl until evenly distributed.
  2. To make the dressing, combine lemon juice and olive oil until evenly distributed. Then add yogurt and seasonings until all flavors are balanced.
  3. Drizzle dressing all over the salad and toss until the whole salad is covered.
  4. Enjoy!

Baked Sweet Potato Fries with Herb “Ranch” Dipping Sauce


These are a super tasty alternative for your classic french fries!

What You’ll Need:

2 sweet potatos, cut in french fry shapes

1/2 cup olive oil

2 tablespoons of rosemary

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

For the sauce:

2/3 cup greek yogurt

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon small sliced chive

1 teaspoon lemon juice

How to Make:

  1. Place the sweet potato pieces in a large bowl and drizzle olive oil and add seasonings.
  2. Stir to distribute all flavors evenly
  3. Place the potatoes on a greased or foil-lined baking pan and bake for 13-17 minutes at 375 degrees F or until slightly crispy.
  4. While baking, combine all sauce ingredients until it tastes like a zesty ranch.
  5. Enjoy!


Gourmet Avocado Toast


The perfect savory breakfast!

What You’ll Need:

1 ripe avocado (mashed until slightly chunky)

1 tablespoon sea salt

1 tablespoon black pepper

1 tablespoon garlic powder

2 slices rustic french bread

4 sliced cherry tomatoes (optional)

1/3 red onion slices (optional)

How to Make:

  1. Combine avocado and seasonings until well mixed
  2. Toast bread for 1.5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy
  3. Spread avocado on each bread slice and top with veggies.
  4. Enjoy!


Light Strawberry Smoothie


An easy-to-make and tasty beverage perfect on a hot day!

What You’ll Need:

2 cups frozen strawberries

1 sliced banana

2 tablespoons protein powder (optional)

1.5 cup almond milk

2/3 cup frozen orange juice

3 cups crushed ice

How to Make:

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Enjoy!

Grilled Steak and Roasted Veggies


A delectable dinner that’s surprisingly nutritious!

What You’ll Need:

8 oz. filet mignon (ask your local butcher if you need help!)

7 baby potatoes, cut in half

4 stalks of asparagus (optional)

2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons pepper

1.5 cup olive oil

2 cup worchestire sauce

1/5 cups steak sauce

2 stalks rosemary

How to Make:

  1. Cut steak in thin slices and place in a deep dish.
  2. Add in steak and worchestire sauce and let marinate in fridge for 1 hour
  3. Place potatoes and asparagus on a lined baking pan and cover with olive oil, salt and pepper.
  4. Bake potatoes in oven at 400 degrees F for 12 minutes
  5. While potatoes are baking, grill steak in a buttered pan for 3 minutes on each side.
  6. Enjoy!
